Health and Safety

Everyone at work has a responsibility to ensure their health and safety, including co-worker's. Our nurses receive training from Bio Thermo Solutions on how to behave appropriately, avoid any behaviours that might injure others, and protect property. Any known risks to others' health and safety should always be reported.

Food Hygiene

The 4 c's of food hygiene safety are:

  • Cleaning- The spread of germs may be stopped in large part by keeping surfaces clean and organised.

  • Cooking- You still need to make sure the meal is cooked properly once it has been prepared. There is a tendency to just preheat the oven to the same temperature for everything. However, you must carefully follow any directions provided if they are special to each food item.

  • Cross-contamination- Food poisoning is a serious issue in busy kitchens where it's easy to overlook safety and health precautions. A food hygiene training covers all the fundamentals and offers guidance on how to distinguish between raw and cooked meals and uphold regular cleaning standards. Even if you can't completely eliminate bacteria from food, you can at least reduce the danger to people in your care with the correct training.

  • Chilling- Even after you serve the food, health and safety remain important. You must securely store any extra produce you may have in accordance with good food handling procedures. Due to the urgent demands of your patients, this might be especially helpful if you are short on time. You will learn additional practical strategies like these in a food hygiene course, which will enable you to work swiftly and safely in a culinary setting.

Manual Handling Objects

The course discusses the various regions of the spine as well as how lifting and moving heavy things can harm the spine. The many laws, rules, policies, and guidelines pertaining to moving and handling things are described, along with how the employer and employee should both play their part in abiding by the law. The lesson then goes into the fundamentals of safe object handling, including as the TILE assessment, group handling, the lever concept, and body alignment.

4

Moving and Handling of people

Working in healthcare and social care environments frequently entails physically moving, lifting, or handling the patients you are responsible for. Our moving and handling training programmes aim to inform participants on the needs and dangers involved with properly transporting people. There is specialised equipment available to help, but staff members must be trained on when and how to use it.

5

Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and children

Promoting and defending the rights of persons who utilise health and social care services is crucial, according to the Health and Social Care Act. Human rights are upheld, ensuring that people can live without fear of abuse or neglect while also having their general well-being protected. Physicians, dentists, social workers, and other licenced healthcare professionals are all responsible for safeguarding any children or elderly patients who are under their care and who could be the victims of abuse or neglect.

Emergency First Aid at work

In the event that your risk assessment concludes that first aid training that solely covers emergency protocols is enough for your business, this course will assist you in meeting your regulatory needs. Additionally, this course is made for those who wish to learn emergency first aid. It is particularly appropriate for designated first responders in smaller, lower-risk work settings, including tiny offices.

Let's Work Together
